RETRO - Coty Sweet Earth Tuberose Essence - $5.39 for 1/4ml
Year Introduced: 1972-1976 - Feminine
Notes: Tuberose
From 1972-1976, Coty released their Sweet Earth line of soft mists, perfume essences, oils and solid compacts and their Sweet Earth Country Roads collection of colognes in ceramic jugs. The solid compacts from this line were so popular; I dare you to find a girl who did not have one of these!
The Sweet Earth fragrances were "fragrances natures wears herself". It was a collection of fragrances inspired by flowers, grasses, woods, rare flowers and herbs. In a 1975 magazine ad the fragrances in the line included gingergrass, amberwood, tuberose, chamomile and clover. I know that at some point jasmine, hyacinth, lavender and honeysuckle were added as we have those fragrances on our website. The Sweet Earth line was discontinued by 1980.
Tuberose is a soliflore fragrance which means a composition that is designed to highlight the beauty of a single floral essence. It is a rich, heady fragrance.
Tuberose has been discontinued.
This is the original essence version of Tuberose.
