Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur is a woody spicy fragrance that was launched in 1972. A classic, old-school fragrance that is very elegant and very French. A burst of aromatic herbal citrus notes settling into a sexy leather and sandalwood base. This was THE scent of the 1970s - loud and old school, a timeless classic with a powdery barbershop smell that comes from a combination of the oakmoss and vanilla.
Interesting to note, is that Pour Monsieur is part of the Smithsonian's collection of cosmetics and personal care products displayed at the National Museum of American History.
Pour Monsieur was originally distributed by Jacqueline Cochrane and this is the the original formula. It was later distributed by Shulton, Tsumua, Aladdin and currently Coty with a number of reformulations.
It is still available for purchase.
