Description

A shore is the dynamic margin of land where it meets a large body of water, such as an ocean, sea or lake. Shores vary drastically in their geological makeup falling mainly into sandy shores, rocky shores and marshes and estuaries. In perfumery, the beach and shore cover a wide range of notes because of the wide variety of shoreland – rugged, peaceful, ocean, lake, etc. The notes used to describe a shore are typically grouped into marine, aquatic and salty accords. They recreate the atmosphere of the coast using a blend of ozonic, mineral and botanical notes that evoke sea spray, driftwood, wet sand, seaweed and fresh coastal air. An example of notes would be Calone (a synthetic molecule that gives a watery, transparent and slightly melon-like freshness), sea salt, seaweed absolute, sea fennel, oakmoss, sun-warmed sands, dune grasses and driftwood. Beach notes in fragrances include sand, saltwater, coconut, rum, citrus and vanilla.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.

  1. Alkemia Sea Girl Perfume - A sun-kissed summer of beachy ozone and warm skin musk with languidly sensual elements of wild jasmine, sugar cane, double pearl tuberose, hibiscus tea, coconut water, key lime, mandarin, white rum and clean white patchouli.
  2. Botica Botanica Corona Del Mar Perfume Oil - Lying in the sand, blankets wrapped around shoulders, exhausted from swimming and sunning all day. Salty hair and the sweet citrus-coconut scent of sunscreen lingering slightly on the skin, which is lit by the flickering orange glow from a bonfire.
  3. Calyx Driftwinds Perfume Oil - A beach and sand fragrance of shifting air and restless earth. Bergamot opens with a dry brightness, giving way to the warm, mineral echo of sun-warmed stone and salt. Driftwood and dried seaweed form the grounding heart — woody, briny, smoky, yet not fishy, not the ocean, but the quiet residue of tides long past. At its edges, a trace of choya nakh drifts like scorched seashells and salt, haunting but restrained. Neither rooted nor fleeting, Driftwinds is unclaimed, unbound — a scent of motion, balance, and horizon. It features notes of sandalwood, choya nakh, vetiver and bergamot.
  4. COLORNOISE Beachy EDP - The sound of waves on sand. The feel of your toes first touching the ocean foam. Beachy is designed to capture the mood, essence and smell of a perfect, sunny day at the beach. With notes of sun warmed sand, bright orange blossom, sunscreen, lavender musk and a summer day at the beach.
  5. Death & Floral I Could Never Stay Long Enough on the Shore EDP - A quiet and empty beach full of barren miles of white sand, under a cool night moon. The soft smell of old, salty boardwalk wood in the air. A small hint of smoke in the air from a distant fire, warmth on the edge of the cold winter coastline.
  6. Demeter Kelp Cologne – Inspired by hiking through and outside the Presidio, off San Francisco Bay, Kelp is a beautiful, blue-green fragrance adjusted between the elements of kelp and the elements of the sea.
  7. Ghost Ship Scentporium Big Sable EDP - Take a trip to Michigan's iconic lighthouse destination when you wear this nature-lover's scent: a blend of dune grass, sun and sand, lake breeze and sandalwood.
  8. Ghoulish Goods Dusk Perfume Oil - Amber sunset, warm mahogany, coconut, santal and driftwood.
  9. Haus of Gloi Driftwood EDP - Sun bleached driftwood, dry black musk, warm sand, dune grasses and a damp oceanic breeze.
  10. Imaginary Authors Sundrunk EDP - All of the Imaginary Authors have a story that accompanies them. Here is the story of Sundrunk from their website: "When Clementine Cope set foot in snow deeper than her knees, she knew it was for the last time. Leaving the rural Montana home she’d been raised in, with no plans other than to follow the setting sun, she’d wake up every morning and head towards the warmth; dreaming of Dennis Wilson, push pops in the sand, and convertibles. Her journey covers thousands of miles and delivers her first-ever view of the ocean. By the time summer hits, Clem is consumed by an incomprehensible joy. She finally stops traveling when she settles into a ramshackle surf camp with newfound friends from the hills of Topanga, California. Now realizing for the first time her journey is only beginning." With notes of neroli, rhubarb, honeysuckle, rosewater, orange zest and a first kiss.
  11. MOCO Sea Glass EDP - Morning tide pulls in forgotten treasures: salt-crusted driftwood, smooth sea glass, petals caught in the foam. The air is thick with brine and sun-warmed skin, where beach grass sways and waves break softly against the shore. Cool, crisp, and weightless as water slipping through your fingers. With notes of cool cucumber, salted breeze, beach glass, dewy lotus, ambergris mist, sun-worn driftwood and soft musk.
  12. Moonlight Cove Finery Seafoam Perfume Oil - Cool, salt water over the rocks dotted with barnacles; watching the water in its deep, blue-green hue forming a ridge of a wave moving toward the beach and changing to an arc of translucent, sparkling green with a crest of white as it crashes into the many towers and valleys of stone, swirling and swelling. A crisp, herbaceous-green, mossy, slightly salty and faintly earthy scent of frothy sea foam. With notes of sea water, herbaceous sweet sage, lavender, pale amber, sandalwood, citrus, green melon, hints of mint and earthy woods.
  13. Morari Seashell Vanille EDP - A gorgeous summery vanilla made of a seashell accord paired with Morari's vanilla base. The base is a warm, nutty, tonka-leaning vanilla, packed with real vanilla CO2. It's quite sweet but not foody - it is gourmand-adjacent rather than a true gourmand.
  14. Obscura Hortus To The Lighthouse Perfume Oil - Give me a beach in October to collect stones on, whispers from the ocean carried by the wind, and a ghostly old lighthouse standing tall on a rocky shore. Inspired by a number of things, the emotion and memories that seem to surround lighthouses, the comforting scent of a chilly beach in autumn, the ocean waves, the hauntings and stories surrounding such places, and one of the perfumer's all-time favorite books, Virginia Woolf’s “To the Lighthouse”. Her story uses it as a symbol of stability, an un-changing constant in the ever changing life of the family who visit it. This unisex fragrance is fresh, reminding one of salty air, driftwood and seaweed washed upon the shore, and a ghostly presence staring out from the lighthouse window. With notes of sea salt, petitgrain, lavender, lime and sage.
  15. Red River Apothecary Driftwood Perfume Oil – With notes of oud wood, agave, ocean breeze, sea kelp, citrus zest, bergamot, cyclamen, sandalwood, amber and jasmine petals.
  16. Siren Song Elixirs Nocturne #6 Perfume Oil – A clean musk, skin scent that features a beautiful blend of sea salt, cypress, driftwood, Pacific rock moss, white sand, red flame mimosa, grapefruit, thunderstorms, tonka and blue musk accord.
  17. Strange Charm Design The Blue Hour Perfume Oil - The deep indigo of the melancholy blue hour: a lonely walk along the seashore while the waves close over an abandoned bouquet of roses. Ambergris and rose musk swirl over black pepper, copal and sea salt.
  18. The Little Book Eater Beach Bonfire Perfume Oil - Inspired by the beach bonfire, the symbolic opening and closing of summer. Made with the scents of sea salt, lime blossom, clove bud, driftwood, sandalwood and cedar. Fresh with a hint of smoke and sunset and ocean air.
  19. The Little Book Eater Island Castaway Perfume Oil - A beachy, fresh scent that is the perfect combination of getting shipwrecked on an island, doing your best Robinson Crusoe impressing and spelling out SOS in coconuts on the beach. Made with the scents of coconut, water lily, ozone, driftwood and salty sea air.
  20. Vacation by Vacation EDT - The signature scent of the Vacation brand sunscreen put into perfume format. It is intended to immerse you in the sunscreen experience, regardless if you are on vacation or not! With notes of coconut milk, coconut water, petitgrain, banana, pineapple, orange blossom, sea salt and lycra.
  21. Wylde Ivy Black Sea Salt Cologne - It is the scent of sea mist blowing over black sand shores, the mystery of the sea and the secrets held in its fathoms. With notes of fresh salt-soaked cypress, dried oud wood, marine minerals, sea salt and ocean air.
  22. Wylde Ivy She Sells Sea Shells Perfume - It is a “summer in a bottle” scent. The smell of beach towels dried in the salty ocean air, six layers of suntan lotion on your skin, coconut scented after sun lotion, and the way all the scents linger so closely to your skin in the heavy humid summer air. With notes of coconut, crushed vanilla beans, coconut milk, orange blossom, tuberose, aloe vera and white musk.
