Description

Thierry Mugler Angel Muse was launched in 2016 - a flanker to the original Thierry Mugler Angel.  Created by Quentin Bisch, it is an oriental vanilla with notes of pepper, grapefruit, hazelnut cocoa, patchouli and vetiver.  This is an EDT, eau de toilette.

The Original Thierry Mugler Angel is one of the fragrances from the last 100 years that Roja Dove believes to be the true classics of their decade.

Fragrantica - "this is a gorgeous woody, earthy chocolate fragrance. I would describe it as savoury and gourmand... it smells like real dark chocolate, not so much Nutella."

 

Fragrantica - "I expected to dislike this one since I have not had good luck with Mugler so far and I hated the original Angel.  But at first sniff, YES!  This is what the original Angel should have been, a sweet and earthy blend that works beautifully."

    Angel Ultra-Lite, now with grapefruit zest

    While I didn't love this fragrance for personal wear, I get why people recommend this to folks who find Angel "too much." I love OG Angel and wanted something similar that was wearable in warm weather. This didn't quite scratch that itch for me, as I found it too far-removed from Angel. The patchouli that gives Angel its bite is turned down relatively low in Muse and replaced by grapefruit zest for the zing. After the grapefruit settles, the smooth hazelnut and perhaps some vanilla come out to polish any sharp edges. Good sillage and longevity, feels appropriate for most weather/seasons, save for the hottest weeks of summer.
