Thin Wild Mercury Whisky, 1969 was released in 2019. Created by Cathleen Cardinali, it has notes of cardmom, pink pepper, nutmeg, raspberry, ylang ylang, cedar and amber. Thin Wild Mercury Zuma, 1975 is an EDP Eau de Parfum.

The greenery of the fresh spring bloom mingles with the salty ocean air. A smoky breeze wafts through the air reminiscent of burned brush. Your tanned skin burns off the sweet smell of summer sweat as you dig your toes into the grainy sand. You’re going to be here after sunset."

"Whiskey 1969" smells like someone spilled a fruit cup into a janitor’s bourbon stash, rubbed it on their pants, and rolled around in the lost-and-found backstage at CBGB. The top hits you with pink pepper and cardamom — which sounds sexy but instead feels like a spiced punch to the sinuses by a drunk elf. Then, just when you're hoping things will calm down, raspberry and nutmeg show up like uninvited party crashers wearing too much body spray. Ylang ylang tries to flirt, but it’s all too late. The base of “bourbon amber” whatever that is supposed to mean, is sticky-sweet, like the air in a dive bar where someone’s been microwaving fruitcake and no one’s opened a window since 1974. The brand description says this is what a groupie might smell like after making out with a rock god and drinking bourbon backstage, but I think the groupie deserves better. In reality, Whiskey 1969 is less “dark and electric” and more “hangover and poor choices.”
