Wow!
This is a perfect fragrance for women. Its super sexy but could be worn year round for any occasion. It has a suede component that takes it to a whole new level. Longevity is great, sillage is just right. I'm in love.
Tom Ford Santal Blush (Private Blend) is from his Private Blend line of fragrances. An amber woody fragrance launched in 2011, created by Yann Vasnier. It has notes of spices, cinnamon, caraway, fenugreek, carrot seeds, ylang, jasmine, rose, sandalwood, benzoin, Virginia cedar, musk and agarwood (oud). It is always at or near the top of sandalwood fragrance lists. Tom Ford Santal Blush is an EDP, eau de parfum.
From the brand - "Santal Blush is an enchanting, mysterious, glamorous and exotic woody - spicy scent. It is ruled by creamy notes of sandalwood and spices, with rich floral and woody tones."
Fragrantica - "This is like fine dining for your nose"
Fragrantica - "The king of sandalwood fragrances in my list! Think of the sour creamy smell that you get in the flavoured chips and then add the most soothing Australian Sandalwood to it with a pinch of benzoin and you get this wonderful confluence of aromas. @yann_vasnier must be thanked for creating such a beautiful and different fragrance that the entire lineup of Tom Ford’s private label has."
Fragrantica - "Recently I followed a sillage of someone’s perfume all around shop floor in my local Zara. Turns out they were wearing TF Santal Blush."
Fragrantica - "Most modern sandalwood perfumes are sharp and too green, but #yannvasnier creation reminds me of Sandalwood when I bought oil vials visiting India. Starts with spiced & aromatic combination of Cumin, Fennel, Fenugreek, and Cinnamon. Its Sandalwood heart is beautifully wrapped in florals, mainly Ylang-ylang and Rose, but plays a supporting role creating a lush texture to the main ingredient. As it dries down, pencil shavings, cedar trees and sandalwood become the main accord. It also has multiple carefully chosen white musks to create radiance to this very base heavy perfume. Up there with Bois des Iles and Egoiste."

Wow! With TF, I either love them or feel indifferent/dislike them. I love this one. I plan to wear it all seasons. It's still hot where I live now, and I don't find the heat to detract from or unpleasantly intensify Santal Blush. I get pencil shavings, Oud and sandalwood. And it's a beautiful thing. Fragrances like this leave me feeling that I've graduated a bit from the mainstream. It's a bit strong, slightly pervasive, but perfect. I don't go for masculine scents typically, this leans feminine enough for me, unlike some other TF unisexes. I find this to be a beautifully crafted but simple scent. (It's what I'd hoped Samsara would be on me) My husband let me pick 2 fragrances for my B-day. Among many others, I sampled 10 private blends from TF, and chose this one only for a full bottle. Cafe Rose was a close second. It may not be worth the $225 price tag, but I'm not versed enough to pinpoint a good dupe without testing. This is a splurge for me, but I adore this fragrance. Removed one lipstick because the price of his private blends is just too high.
I *love* this scent! I first discovered it because a co-worker was wearing it. It's got a lovely musky, mysterious scent that's sexy without being heavy-handed. It goes from day to night well as it's not too much for the office, and won't assault anyone's nose with an overbearing scent at a crowded bar or restaurant.
