Velvety Rose Sampler - Set of Nine 1/2ml Samples

The rose is called both the King and Queen of flowers. It is the cornerstone of perfumery and are said to feature in at least 75% of modern feminine fragrances and at least 10% of all men's fragrances. Rose is an incredible ingredient that is often misunderstood. For centuries, the terms feminine, floral and powdery have been strongly associated with the rose and while it's hard to break the association, it's important to note that certain species of rose carry a fresh, clean hint of citrus in their scent, as well as woody and spicy notes, that can typically be associated with more masculine tones. Perfumers use only a few species of rose among the most scented: Rosa centifolia, also known as cabbage rose (in France) and Rosa damascena (in Turkey and Bulgaria). Rose is used in two extracts: the essential oil or the absolute, with the absolute being the deeper and sweeter variant.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler. You also have the option of choosing a larger sized sampler. 

1. Botanicae Flower Cafe EDP - The conversation never stops at the Petit Cafe. Surrounded by flowers, shisha smoke and coffee, the most french of the Orient always discuss with enthusiasm. (Beirut. 2017.) Flower Cafe is a unisex woody chypre that launched in 2019 - a wild red rose surrounded by coffee with a subtle vanilla note from Madagascar. It features top notes of black pepper and clove; middle notes of rose, coffee and fig; and base notes of bourbon vanilla, ambergris and musk.  
2. CottonCake April Haze EDP - April Haze is a floral aquatic fragrance that launched in 2018. Created by Tanja Deurloo, it features top notes of rose and jasmine; middle notes of sand and skin; and base notes of sea notes.  
3. La Maison de la Vanille Belle Recontre en Provence EDP - The rose of Provence, also called "Rosa Centifolia" is an emblematic flower of the Provence region in France. It is known for its intense, long-lasting fragrance and its beautiful, large, colorful flowers. Belle Rencontre en Provence is an intriguing fragrance that is both floral and woody, fresh and warm. A contrast in the image of Provence, where the hinterland opposes and blends at the same time with the Mediterranean Sea. It is a feminine floral fragrance that launched in 2017 and features top notes of bergamot, orange and green notes; middle notes of rose, cedarwood, lily of the valley and jasmine; and base notes of vanilla, white musk and gourmand notes.

5. Miller et Bertaux Shanti Shanti EDP - Shanti Shanti was based on sensory experiences of the perfumers travels in India. It features a top note of pink pepper; middle notes of cardamom, orris, rose and patchouli leaves and a base note of Indian sandalwood. 
6. Pearfat Parfum Bread & Roses EDP - Initially, a limited edition fragrance for Holiday 2022, Bread + Roses became Pearfat’s best-selling fragrance! Because of this, it will now be a permanent edition available year-round. It is a floral gourmand that smells like cracking into a warm, fresh, baguette, soft red rose petals and familiar warmth. Solstice Scents Headmistress EDP - Headmistress is an elegant perfume featuring a bold top note of plum, tannic purple muscadine grape skin and soft cognac leading to a warm heart of spicy clove-forward purple rose, paper and a wooden ruler. The base features notes of labdanum, oakmoss, sticky benzoin, subtle aged patchouli and tonka. Dry down features a spicy, sweet, warm aroma with light resins and woods on a bed of softly musky oakmoss. While Headmistress contains rose de mai, Moroccan rose and Bulgarian rose to add body and the purple rose accord is clove-forward, this is not a floral or rose-focused perfume. The scent of plump roses just beginning to bloom, pink gossamer ribbons and fading love letters. Lost Lenore features notes of dewy pink roses, faded parchment, ambergris, dried heather flowers and white amber sugar.
