Vilhelm Parfumerie Dear Polly was created in 2015 by Jerome Epinette. It is an aromatic with notes of bergamot, apple, black tea, black amber, musk and oakmoss
From the brand - ""Dear Polly is a love letter in scent to my wife. Black tea, like the brew with which she awakes each morning, immediately warms the skin. Top notes of apple and bergamot create a sense of familiarity, while sensuous musk introduces complexity. Finally, it finds its resolution in a voluptuous spice, as piquantly punctuated as it is seductively honeyed. Familiar and new, comfortable and invigorating, it is a fragrant brew for two: lovers can wear it and recall each other. Even with distance they’re never apart."
You will receive a 1/2 ml sample (a 1 ml sample vial filled half full)
Fragrantica - "So I agree that it smells like BR540, but as a "New Yorker" version. Everything is a bit more daring and clearer. The black tea tone bitterer, the apple tone greener, and the bergamot turned to a slice of honey-candied peel."
Fragrantica - "Dear Polly is hands down my favorite tea scent. So many black tea scents don’t work on my skin and turn to BO in about 30 seconds flat. This one smells beautiful and invigorating and comforting at once. I love the fruitiness, which works well with the tea: sweet, but not too sweet. And the musky base gives it just a little bit of staying power."
Fragrantica - "There's a popular bottled tea in Japan called "Gogo no Kōcha" (午後の紅茶), which is essentially a sweet, milky Earl Grey. It's drunk cold, and is very refreshing in the summer. This fragrance smells just like it to my nose, only a tiny bit more crisp and green. I absolutely love it."
