Four Seasons Eau de Cologne was launched in 1940 and was advertised as "stimulating and refreshing and a daily necessity throughout the four seasons".
This is probably the most unusual fragrance I have ever come across as far as its marketing goes. In wording from the box:
All the year round uses for Coty Four Seasons Eau de Cologne
After the bath: a brisk rub-down closes the pores and cools and perfumes the body.
Headaches or Fatigue: a gentle massage of the temples gives instant relief.
Dancing or Walking: A timely application prevents feet becoming tired or swollen.
Travelling: Whether by train, car, sea or air, Four Seasons should always be carried to ward off headaches or fatigue.
Influenza or Colds: Four Seasons is a valuable antiseptic. It clears the head and nasal passages.
Invalids or Sickrooms: Four Seasons destroys unpleasant odours and keeps the atmosphere clear and pleasant.
It is a very light citrus fragrance and is an eau de cologne, edc.
There is not a lot of information available on the older Coty fragrances; they are quite rare.
Four Season has been discontinued.
This is the original eau de cologne version of the fragrance.
