Cabochard, created by nose Bernard Chant, was launched in 1959 and is probably the most popular and most well known Gres Perfume. Cabochard is a dark smooth leather chypre parfum and is supposedly a softened more wearable version of Bandit. Cabochard was the first fragrance to combine aldehydes with chypre notes.
