Roxo is a floral fragrance that launched in 2023 under the previous name of LabHouse Perfume. Founded by Macaul Neenan and Mirian Shechet, each fragrance is formulated in-house, from initial concept to filling the bottles, in their studio in Exeter, New Hampshire. It features notes of lilac and musk. From their website: A lilac singularity, rendered hyper-real and suspended in a haze of airy musk. Roxo is Portuguese for purple and this fragrance is the perfumers’ tribute to a purple lilac in full bloom. Lilac is the state flower of New Hampshire, where the perfumery is located. In spring, the scent of lilac fills the air in a way that is impossible to ignore and almost impossible to bottle. Most lilac fragrances lean powdery or abstract and they wanted the opposite. The focus was realism. The cool air around the petals. The faint green snap of the stem. The soft, diffusive sweetness that disappears if you try to hold it too tightly.
