Xerjoff Cruz del Sur I (Shooting Stars) is part of the Shooting Stars collection and was launched in 2017. Inspired by the mystery of the untouched tribes of South American's jungles and created by Miroslav Petkov, it has notes of rum, grapes, bergamot, dried fruits, cumin, cloves, cedar, cinnamon, leather, castoreum, myrrh, incense, labdanum, sandalwood and amber. Xerjoff Cruz del Sur I (Shooting Stars) is an eau de parfum, edp.
From the brand - "Higher up, closer to the treetops, the air smells of rum, of bergamot and of vague hints of grapes. We advance, overcoming one liana after the other with strokes of machete, and approach the inner landscape of desire by walking through scents of lily, cedar, dried fruits, cloves, cumin. The animals plod on with their legs half submerged in water, while the sun barely filtering through the thick growth of the forest brings out even more strongly the scent of their hide. Here the yearning after lost civilizations is felt most acutely. Your closed eyes, overwhelmed by the solid base of sandalwood, amber, ladanum, incense, myrrh and castoreum, testify to a frantic search for the mythical city of gold that is much more than an obsession. For once, it is enough to breathe in and drift away."
Fragrantica - "I love the way it smells, for me I go straight to the dry down and get that combination of rum, leather, Incense, and amber. I got this sample on accident when I was meant to get cruz del sur 2, but I found that I love the first. It is an amazing scent for fall and winter 8/10"
Fragrantica - "I have never smelled a wild boar, but this is what I imagine it smells like. Some words that come to my mind while smelling Cruz del Sur 1: Tar, mud, smoke, old fruit, ancient, woody, animalic. One of the most blind buy-unfriendly fragrance I have come across ever. However, I have to give it some credit - I frequently sniff the atomizer. It has something that brings me back. 4,5/10."
Fragrantica - "Perfection in a bottle. One of the best from the house."
