Basenotes - "Alexandria II is a moderate projection EdP which leans in the woody-spice direction, with a light presence of agarwood in the midst of a storm of cinnamon, nice rosewood, and slight sweetness from vanilla in the base. Apple adds a fruity pungency that brightens this beast up. Musk is quite evident, a definite sexy touch to this hyper-long-lasting potion."
Fragrantica - "Alexandria II is greater than the sum of its parts, so I wouldn't be too attached to individual notes. No almond is listed but I definitely pick it up in the opening. Perception is interesting like that! Lavender and rose are done very well here but the rose swings it slightly feminine to me. Looks like many people voted this unisex/masculine-leaning but again, perception. The drydown is AMAZING and my favorite part. It's ambergris-ish/ambroxan-ish in the best way, probably the vanilla, amber and musk. Oud is used as a binding agent and x-factor...I wouldn't consider this an 'oud' fragrance but its used masterfully."
Fragrantica - "It’s one of my faves along with K’bridge Club and Commandante. The best way I can describe the oud here is like a black sky, with all the other notes being the stars. Elegant, sexy, and unique."
Fragrantica - "This has to be one of the most beautiful, calming lavenders I have ever experienced. I can perceive an instant sense of calm and soothing after picking out the lavender, absolutely visceral! Paired with the woody facet, it makes for a killer combination. The opening is a bit of a mess, but the dry down is absolutely killer."
Fragrantica - "Alexandria II is definitely among the smoothest, best-blended, most elegant and sophisticated fragrances I've ever had the pleasure of putting my nose on. The opening is a blast of excellence, but A2 just keeps getting better and better in the drydown. So. Fucking. Good. And the performance...off the charts."
Fragrantica - "An absolute gem. This is a masterpiece if I have ever smelled one. It truly gets no better. I’ve tried every niche brand known to man. This is pure quality and sophistication in a bottle."
Fragrantica - "So perfectly blended that reading the notes, I think, will never give a reader a good-enough idea of what it in fact smells like. The only fragrance I have with a bit of funk, but nothing like the funk in Roja. It’s more attractive/enticing rather than arrogantly, insouciantly haute. This scent strikes me as self-assured and ruggedly rich. Power in repose. The word that comes to mind is _presence_."
