Paris
This is a light fragrance that is not very long-lasting; I think it smells like a very light rose with a light touch of spice.
Yves Saint Laurent's Paris EDP is a classic that features notes of bergamot, geranium, hawthorn, hyacinth, mimosa, rose, violet, lily of the valley, cedar, sandal, heliotrope and amber. Created by Sophia Grosjman and launched in 1983, this is a rose-centric classic and a French Perfume legend.
Fragrantica: "This perfume smells both fresh and warm and gorgeous and classy. One word lovely and a great projection and very long lasting. I think if you like sweet perfumes you will also love this and if you do not like sweet perfumes you will also love this."
Fragrantica: "So far this seems to be a very pretty fragrance for cool, early Spring. Wonder how it will smell in the heat. If you have the confidence for it and violets don't make you think of old ladies, try it out. It's very different from this era's feminine fruitchoulis."

This is classic femininity at its best. It's mostly rose and violet and heliotrope for me, and every bit as magical as a good perfume can be, evolving on the drydown. The first time I smelled it, I was overseas on military duty...as a mechanic, I wasn't feeling very girly. One whiff of that changed my life FOREVER. Now I love to experiment and try new perfumes, and I'm an aromatherapy nut...but this is my all time favorite ever. It very well could be that my subjective experience of the gloriousness of it that lifted me out of the winter and surrounded-by-testosterone doldrums, or the thrill of being overseas for the first time, but this is my one first true love at first smell.

This is a very good evening spring fragrance.
