King Cobra from Zoologist is driven by danger and a desire to dominate. It hypnotizes with camphorous notes of Ganja and petitgrain, radiating coils of aromatic spices and damp mossy soil around a body heavy with incense. Finally, after shedding a delicate green leather, the powerful king ascends to his throne. A coronation of scent, King Cobra gives you license to rule."
Fragrantica - "I actually like this as a concept, but may want to avoid on the skin. I got a little in my hands and WOW it’s here forever I guess! Earthy and smoky like warm dirt. Vegetal notes give a sharpness to cut through the sweetness of the incense. Would I love this on myself? Noooo. But on the right person I can see this pairing nicely. It kind of reminds me of the kind of tradesperson who isn’t “stinky” because they obviously shower and take care of themselves, but still spends their days doing hard labor. An interesting masculine scent. Zoologist is such an amazing house I love their creativity and can’t wait to try more."
Fragrantica - "I’m usually not a fan of earthy scent but this one’s different. It came with a cooling note plus a sweetish amber in the dry down which really softened things up quite nicely. The earthy and green notes sort of brings out the scent of the habitat of the king cobra, from my hypothesis. The leathery spicy note probably stnd for the animal itself. Of course the real animal would be much more animalic than what would be sensible for a perfume to be. Overall this is a love for me."
Fragrantica - "I've never smelled something that gave me the ick so quickly. Everytime I breathed, I was getting flashbacks to every guy I've ever met who tells me: 'She doesn't have to know'. It's a generic but infinitely more pungent 'toxic guy with 23 bumper stickers and emotional baggage' scent, which immediately repulsed me."
Fragrantica - "My new favorite Zoologist going by alpha truly feels spicy and venemous. King Cobra to me putting it as a color is like a full spectrum green bright to dark of piney incense, fresh cannabis, spicy cumin, and a slight herbal camphor possibly the tea with a literal dirty, almost reptile background that all just works together well without being unwearable."
Fragrantica - "Zoologist and Prin Lomros have a real winner here. I'm not good at imagery, but a cobra implied a steamy tropical environment to me. The opening of King Cobra is the opposite - a very dry, warm, sharp (or spicy) green accord, almost like dry hay or grass. The camphor is quite noticeable but doesn't impart a Vicks Vaporub impression. It's camphor done right. The middle notes appear, with the earthy/soil and cumin notes being prominent. The cumin does impart a mild BO scent, but this lasts only for about 5 minutes. The incense takes its place in the dry down in front of a very pleasant and masculine mossy, patch and vetiver base."
