Akro Awake was launched in 2018, created by Olivier Cresp. It is a perfect jolt of roasted coffee on the first spray, your eyes are wide open. Cardamom takes some of the bite out of it, and then the hazelnut slides in and makes this one of the coziest coffee scent I've smelled. It has the rare quality of keeping that coffee note going for a decent time. Event though it softens, it is still coffee. Notes of Balkans Santos coffee, green cardamom, Italian lemon, Haitian vetiver.
Fragrantica - "Fresh, sweet, smokey, airy, and rich coffee scent. I like the way coffee manifests here much more than the typical usage of coffee as a note. Here, it smells like drinking fresh, very high quality small batch coffee on a beautiful outdoor patio by the beach. It's not the typical coffee note that just smells like an overdose of burnt coffee beans. The lemon is balanced perfectly here - it adds an uplifting brightness to the scent, but it never takes over. One of if not the best coffee fragrances I've tried yet."
Fragrantica - "This fragrance was a more realistic coffee than the cup that I was actually drinking right before I spritzed it on."
Fragrantica - "I think I love the scent of coffee more than I like actual coffee. This is unmistakably a coffee smell at first blast, incredibly realistic. I love that caramely-roasted edge, it makes me want a perfectly pulled espresso shot."
Fragrantica - "Man this scent is unique. Opens up with a full blast of roasted coffee beans, the most realistic coffee in a fragrance. Dries down to a floral, woody, citrusy coffee smell with a tiny bit of spicyness from the cardamom. Really nice fragrance."
Fragrantica - "This is the most realistic coffee I have ever smelled! It isn't like Black Opium where you just get a hint of coffee. This smells like a warm cappuccino or latte! Not a black coffee, but also not a super sweet frappuccino. It's a happy medium of coffees, I'd say. My classmate who sat next to me four hours after I sprayed this asked me who smelled so good and when she realized it was me, she IMMEDIATELY wanted to buy the perfume for herself! She bought it with no hesitation two weeks later and her husband absolutely loves it on her! It's definitely a unisex scent, which I normally don't like, but it doesn't really lean to the masculine or feminine side. It's just... coffee!"
Fragrantica - "Now this, this is one of the best coffee fragrances I have ever smelled. This smells like a nice, dark roasted, nutty, fragrance, that is definitely a great pick, for anyone looking for this type of fragrance. So well done, so well made. Will get you compliments, not just from women, but from men also. Some, might want to eat you...I'm not joking lol."
