Correction: I previously reviewed the Pure Parfum blend.
My apology: I reviewed the McQueen, My Queen Purfum edition of this fragrance. I will have to try this less expensive blend; hopefully, it'll be almost as good, and I can save a bit of money!
Alexander McQueen My Queen was introduced in 2005, created by Dominque Ropion and Anne Flipo. It has a four-level structure with notes of almond, violets, orange, white musk, heliotrope, white flowers, patchouli, cedar, vetiver, iris and vanilla. This is an EDP, eau de parfum.

I'm in one of the most serious, most fun, debates with myself ever regarding perfume. I'm not sure if I most crave Hermes Faubourg 24 or Alexander McQueen My Queen as a Rich Lady scent! My queen has a deep, rich earthiness, and as I wanted to describe it as smelling like "purple" for some reason, I see in another review that it has iris and violet in it. It's amazing how that translates. My Queen has a good sillage to it; it's discernable at about 5 inches, so not overwhelming to others around you, but it makes a mysterious impact. As I am handwriting notes, I notice that the trace of perfume from my wrist has rubbed off on the paper in a very pleasing manner ... it would be great as a little love mote, a small personal mark. At 20 minutes, this scent is still going strong, I hope it'll last well through at least six hours so I can convince myself to buy more. Essentially, this perfume makes me happy ... I find myself sniffing at my wrist to enjoy it again. I'm enraptured by it, so singing its praises!

This is an under-rated fragrance. This potion is well-blended with iris, violet and vetiver. The light woods and powdery accord is well-balanced. This is a smooth and versatile scent to wear. The floral and sweet note adds freshness to the ensemble. This is quite a gem of a fragrance.
Pretty, light, and easy to wear violet fragrance. This is a "spritz and go" scent. I would enjoy having a full bottle.
