Description

Alkemia In a Railway Carriage was created by Sharra Lamoureaux and has notes of rumpled linen, skin musk, white amber, lotus flower, ripe peaches, freesia and violet.

From the brand:

"Rumpled linens and silky woolens warmed by desire and skin musk pillowed in soft white amber with intoxicating lotus flowers, succulent peaches, flirtatious freesia, and coy violets.

In the winter, we shall travel in a little pink railway carriage
With blue cushions.
We shall be comfortable. A nest of mad kisses lies in wait
In each soft corner.

You will close your eyes, so as not to see, through the glass,
The evening shadows pulling faces.
Those snarling monsters, a population
Of black devils and black wolves.

Then you'll feel your cheek scratched...
A little kiss, like a crazy spider,
Will run round your neck...

And you'll say to me : "Find it !" bending your head
And we'll take a long time to find that creature
Which travels a lot...

-- Arthur Rimbaud, October 7, 1870

Alkemia In a Railway Carriage Reviews

Reddit - "Strong chilly musk with an almost unnervingly distinct smell of freshly washed skin. Like the intimacy of being pressed close to a very clean stranger in an enclosed space… say for instance, a railway carriage… on a cold winter night when you’re all excited about the places you’re headed to. For how uncomplicated it is, I found it to be a shockingly successful (& very idealized) atmospheric. The peach comes out a little as it wears. It’s not an intense, lactonic peach skin note like I get with Guerlain Mitsouko; it’s more of a nondescript fruit juice note vaguely identifiable as peach.

Reddit - "This smells like violet and peach scented bedsheets - the violet balances musk and linen. The sillage is impressive for such a soft scent"

Alkemia - "I'm not a big fan of musk, and there's just the right amount for me in this scent. The other tones mingle with it, so it plays between the floral scents, with a touch of peaches."
