The anise and earth notes start off strong and weird, nearly pinned with heliotrope's bitter vanilla-almond-marzipan note but soon transforms into the most divine vanilla/marshmallow dry down. A bit of a fragrance journey, as the first couple of hours are confusing--I personally oscillated between "what the heck is this" and "mmm, fascinating"--but you will be rewarded for your patience! Another brilliant composition from Arcana."
Arcana Wildcraft: "This is so unique. At first I thought I just smelt like plain dirt and earth but as the scent sits on the skin it transforms into this sweet and soft marshmallow scent. The anise is perfectly blended into the scent as well. I also have noticed the longer is sits in my cupboard, the more the earth note has mellowed."

Arcana Wildcraft: "As another review mentioned, I too noticed the dirt note becomes less prominent with resting. The first time I tried it, the only thing I could smell at all was dirt. Several days later, the anise, flowers and vanilla marshmallow became stronger with the dirt note lingering in the background. It's so lovely and unique. I'm reminded of a winter solstice nighttime cemetery picnic with flowers and pizzelle."

It fades into a delicate beauty that evokes tiny blossoms poking through melting, muddy snow. This artistry in this scent is impressive. I took a chance on a 10ml but I think that I will need to upgrade to a 30ml. Love how unique this scent is and I cannot wait to wear it more often."
