Valkyrie is a mossy woody scent with incense. Odin's handmaidens who plunge bravely into battle and guide the glorious dead to an afterlife in Fólkvangr or Valhalla. A carpet of velvety green mosses with battered leather armor and a stout wooden shield. The sacred incense of the dead. Translucent tree resin and dry cedar heartwood. Arcana Wildcraft: This is a lovely mossy, woody scent. The leather and incense smoke peek through just enough without being overpowering and the longevity is excellent. This is not a “pretty” scent for the floral and gourmand girlies but it’s definitely beautiful and commanding.
Arcana Wildcraft: Valkyrie is an honest girl - dry, clean hardwoods with a nice throw and some impressive longevity. Arcana has come SUCH a long way from the simple days of Filthy Viking; you could think of Valkyrie as a richer, more sophisticated descendant. You notice the dry woods right away, but there's a spice there, too, and the softest hint of spring in the forest. It's got strong warrior energy and "masculine" tones but Valkyrie is very much a unisex fragrance. The throw and longevity are impressive, too; my wife put it on for work one day and she was still definitely wearing it when she came home. And I could smell it in the room 24 hours after it was sprayed. I love that the fragrance description mentions Folkvangr, because Valkyrie definitely evokes that for sure. Valkyrie definitely has all the right moves - strong and confident but not loud or showy.
