Cacharel Lou Lou Reviews

Fragrantica: "all that smoke an vanilla and dirtiness, that announces itself before you’ve even fully entered the room, and lingers long after you’ve left, helped me make some of the best bad decisions of my life! Lou Lou is definitely not for everyone but if you meet her and she decides she likes you (make no mistake: it is that way round) then brace yourself for some of the best fun you’ll ever have with her!!"

Fragrantica: "A lovely feminine ambery powder bomb. I don't think it's too sexy or mature- I would still wear it to church!"

Fragrantica: "LouLou is a powdery dream; heavy, sensual and luxurious (though unimaginably affordable).
This scent is what silver screen sirens are made of. It's Intense, it's beautiful, ever-present, somewhat demanding and yet strangely warm and addictive."

    Warm and Creamy

I had a miniature bottle of Lou Lou when I was in highschool more than 25 years ago. I loved it so much. I remember it smelled strongly of incense. This sample that I bought, I believe it's a newer version of Lou Lou. It smells sweeter and the incense is toned down. I actually prefer the new version. It's smoother and creamier. Not harsh at all. Very beautiful creamy white flower with some incense to make it more interesting.

    What a surprise!

I'd never tried this but heard it mentioned a few times recently, so ordered a sample. Tropical white floral, with ylang being most prominent to me, that dries down to a delicious, not-too-sweet, creamy, slightly powdery almondy vanilla. The opening can be a bit loud over applied, but I love how playful this is and I adore the drydown. Very cheerful and comforting for cold weather. Inexpensive but doesn't smell cheap to me.
