Cacharel Lou Lou is a Floriental fragrance first introduced in 1987. With top notes of bergamot, black currant buds, green leaves, marigold, and mandarin; middle notes of jasmine, heliotrope, mimosa, tiare and ylang ylang; and base notes of tonka bean, incense, iris, musk, vanilla and sandalwood. I had a miniature bottle of Lou Lou when I was in highschool more than 25 years ago. I loved it so much. I remember it smelled strongly of incense. This sample that I bought, I believe it's a newer version of Lou Lou. It smells sweeter and the incense is toned down. I actually prefer the new version. It's smoother and creamier. Not harsh at all. Very beautiful creamy white flower with some incense to make it more interesting.
I'd never tried this but heard it mentioned a few times recently, so ordered a sample. Tropical white floral, with ylang being most prominent to me, that dries down to a delicious, not-too-sweet, creamy, slightly powdery almondy vanilla. The opening can be a bit loud over applied, but I love how playful this is and I adore the drydown. Very cheerful and comforting for cold weather. Inexpensive but doesn't smell cheap to me.
