Description

Cartier Roadster was inspired by the iconic Cartier Roadhouse watch, Mathilde Laurent created Cartier Roadster. Described as a mineral fougere, it has notes of bergamot, mint, vetiver, patchouli, cashmere wood, cistus labdanum and vanilla.  Don't let the mineral scare you , this is a great scent from Cartier.

Fragrantica: "On the skin, it opens in a fruity and sweet way, bringing a very evident earthy aspect, however, not oppressive. It is the earthy nuance of patchouli, which is quite different from the earthy nuance of vetiver. During the initial phase (and depending on the skin), it is possible to smell a watermelon nuance, which sounds quite strange when you look at the olfactory pyramid."

Fragrantica: "Aromatic opening of spearmint, which is thankfully not that of the toothpaste kind. Blends into a nice mix of mint, vanilla, and some woody vetiver. It smells quite classy for a mint based scent and could be a great signature or office scent. I can also detect some spicy notes from time to time but the overall structure is well balanced and I have to say that I enjoy the mint and vanilla combination here."

    Versatile and Masculine

    Opens very nicely with mint and citrus. Feels like a young man who is up for some spirited fun. As the top notes burn off, enter a strong scent of wood. Now the who wears this is mature and classy. With some time the wood gives way to spice. There is no clove in the product description, but that's what I sense. The spiciness gives the scent an exotic quality intended for a man who knows a thing or two. Finally there is vetiver, which completes the profile with serious masculinity, not to be trifled with. Over all it's a versatile and masculine scent. Quite good.

    I had no idea...

    I would like this as much as I do :) I didn't know it was designed as a masculine fragrance when I got the sample. I was hooked from the first spray. It's cool, crisp and refreshing. Opens heavy on the mint, but soon the mineral and depth kicks in. It's becoming my favorite hot weather fragrance, and I'm pretty sure I'll be obtaining a full bottle in the relatively near future.
