Bubblegum was invented in 1928 and Bazooka gained traction after World War II due to the US colors being used for packaging. Interestingly enough, Singapore has banned the sale and importation of bubblegum and chewing gum since 1992 implemented to reduce littering in public spaces, on public transport and to prevent vandalism.
