The coastline is the area where land meets the sea or ocean and there are around 620,000 kilometres (390,000 mi) of coastline on Earth. There are an untold number of smells associated with coastal areas. While these fragrances will smell of the sea, they are more about the feeling of the coast; the overall impression. Yes it's the acquatic accord, salt, seaweed, damp sand, seashells, driftwood, but it is also the surrounding plants, flowers, trees, and the smells carried on the breeze.
You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.
- Collective Harmony Co. Moonlit Coast Perfume Oil - A mossy and marine-like fragrance to whisk you away to the coast. Sensual and aquatic - this is for lovers of dark and mysterious fragrances. With notes of sea breeze, pineapple, lavender, bamboo, dark musk, amber, vetiver and cedar.
- Haeckel’s Reculver EDP – Inspired by the waves smashing into the Reculver sea defences while nearby sits a ruined abbey, graveyard and wild, overgrown fields. Remnants of more recent uses are now overgrown and covered over with blackberries, raspberries and sea lavender. The salt water spraying up onto the path and the grass leaves small puddles so that the smell of the sea is carried by the wind to mix with the berries, flowers and wild parsley to create a fragrance that is fresh, but shows the history that surrounds this place in every direction. There is a feeling here of something that was once important and loved but has now been given back to nature to heal and be washed away, into the sea. Blackberries, sea lavender and cedar were collected on 23rd July 2014 / Sunny Day. A floral green fragrance that features top notes of green mandarin and cassis; middle notes of neroli and pink pepper; and base notes of cedar and oud.
- Death and Floral I Could Never Stay Long Enough on the Shore EDP - A quiet and empty beach full of barren miles of white sand, under a cool night moon. The soft smell of old, salty boardwalk wood in the air. A small hint of smoke in the air from a distant fire, warmth on the edge of the cold winter coastline.
- Liis Bo EDP - Dry, lightly-smoked woods with a gentle nudge of vanilla to warm it up. The spice, incense and tobacco facets add points of interest. There is a coastal artist enclave where residents used to remove the road signs to get there — a hidden bohemia. Redwood pine, cedar and guaiac evoke the coastal forest. Incense, tobacco and vanilla beans bring the town to life. Created by Jérôme Epinette, it features notes of elemi, tobacco leaves, redwood pine, incense, guaiacwood, cedar and vanilla beans.
- Hyde & Hollow Lost Coast Perfume Oil - The lighthouse stands alone at the edge of the world, its beacon swallowed by the mist, its foundations weathered by a thousand storms. No one tends to it now. No one dares. They say the keeper vanished one moonless night, leaving only the scent of salt and citrus hanging in the air, as if the wind itself still carried his final breath. A flicker of light dances across the water, tangerine and orange blossom blooming in the dark—too bright, too fleeting, like a memory that refuses to fade. The waves crash against jagged rock, their endless rhythm stirring up cedarwood and the ghosts of forgotten sailors. Vanilla lingers, warm and haunting, like a voice calling from the other side of the tide. You swear you hear it whisper your name. The ocean does not give back what it takes. With notes of orange blossom, tangerine, vanilla, cedar and sea salt.
