Description

1518 in Glenfinnan was created in honor of the Highland hero. It is a scent based on Cranachan which is a traditional Scottish dessert. It blends tender oats covered in thick sweetened cream, drizzled with wild honey and a sprinkling of the best whisky and layered with juicy raspberries. 1518 in Glenfinnan is a perfume that is made in medium concentration.

CocoaPink is a small batch perfumery. This fragrance is vegan and they use no animal testing and no parabens.

COCOAPINK 1518 IN GLENFINNAN REVIEWS

Reddit: A sticky, oaty gourmand, with red fruit and smoke notes. I particularly liked the sweet smokiness that was probably a combination of the oats and whisky, especially as it didn’t smell overtly ‘boozy’. The raspberry note was quite red and sweet, and sometimes read almost as cherry, but wasn’t too strong. My skin really amps dairy notes, so on me this smelled like a thick pink milkshake with just a hint of the smokiness, and reminded me a lot of Blushing Snow Angels, and a little bit of Prudence. I liked it best wet, when I could get all the oaty smoky notes with some creamy fruity sweetness, so I’d probably opt for this one as a linen spray.

Reddit: This was the scent whose notes I remembered most easily – because I had the most misgivings. I remember choosing this in spite of the honey (usually a death note for me, way too sweet) because I thought all of the other notes would be wonderful. Well, then I tried Nui Cobalt “Hokum,” and there the oats amplified the spice on my skin to such a degree that it felt oppressive. So I worried this scent would be a huge mistake (despite my love for raspberries). In truth… this scent isn’t very strong. It lasted roughly six hours into a work day, and the honey barely registered. (Even in the bottle I didn’t get hit with a wave of honey when I sniffed, though I did get the whiskey and oats.) The raspberry is also only in the background. What this scent mainly is, is a discreet meal of porridge and Drambuie – which is funny, because I’ve been looking for a Drambuie scent for a long time! So it’s definitely Scottish, and very likely what the Highlander actually smelled like. A pleasant surprise, and one I want to sit with more. Rating: 4/5 – There can only be one…!

Reddit: This one is boozy, but with a ton of tart and sweet raspberry. It's a sweet, unapologetic gourmand, but not at all cliche.
