Description

D.S. & Durga Big Sur Eucalyptus was released in 2023.  Created by David Seth Moltz, it was inspired by the crazy success of their Big Sur After the Rain candle.  Notes of wet wood, pacific spray, ecualyptus, cardamom, rosemary, magnolia, cypress and dry leaves. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

From the brand - "Our Big Sur After Rain candle is one of our most successful products. People have asked for us to make it as a perfume, but I don't really dig candle oils on the skin. So I took the dominant accord, and many of the same materials and fashioned them into a foggy meditation on coastal California eucalyptus groves that sits wonderfully on the ol' epidermis. Eucalyptus is one of my top five favorite smells in the world. The oil alone cannot encapsulate it's real essence - balmy, green, woody, and deeply spicy. I hope this perfume captures this for all the seekers and tweakers out there."

D.S. & Durga Big Sur Eucalyptus REVIEWS

Fragrantica - "Agree with floralcowboy below - this is foggy, cliffside Monterey Bay with the cypress and the eucalyptus (whenever I drive past the eucalyptus groves I roll down my window). Definitely a masculine leaning fragrance, although I'm also not sure how wearable it is. The green, camphorous notes come through throughout, but as the fragrance sits the vetiver starts to pull through pretty strongly. I think the vetiver grounds this fragrance and makes it more wearable, particularly as it dries down. This is refreshing and unique (I've never smelled anything like it), and I think it would be a neat signature scent."

Fragrantica - "I grew up around Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay of California and always loved taking in the cold fog air soaked in the eucalyptus and cypress leaves and the decaying medicinal earth - it truly does smell like that. Those who are familiar with those areas will be able to appreciate this."
