Coriander is an aromatic spicy fragrance that was created by David Seth Moltz. From their website: Coriander is cool. It is a spice, but it is cool. When we think of spices, we think of warmth: nutmeg, ginger, clove, cinnamon. We picture roaring fires, winter warmth, or the tropical climes where these plants grow. Of course with some perfume wizardry you can turn these on their heads. But coriander is already cool. It is fresh, green, pungent, and evocative of the grass, the expanse of fields, the sweeping sea. Our coriander scent is the coriander from the hills above Odessa on the Black Sea. Tall stalks holding celadon grooved seeds looking down at ships at port. In the top you have the fresh, pungent coriander heightened by sappy green lime peels and the aggressive herbal scrawl of rosemary from Morocco (which is rounder than those from Eastern Europe). Cubeb seeds—the noble cousin to black pepper—give more dry musky round cool. Coriander features top notes of coriander, pepper and juniper needle; middle notes of geranium, clove stem and clary sage; and base notes of musk, magnolia and mace. Coriander is an eau de parfum, edp.
D.S. & DURGA CORIANDER REVIEWS
Fragrantica: I once tried almost all the D.S. & Durga fragrances in a boutique and was blown away throughout the day by how great this smelled but unable to remember which one. I ended up buying Bistro Water based on the description and failed miserably. Coriander is fresh and truly unisex, it opens with aromatic/green/grass notes and eventually developed into a nice musk to my nose. I find it to be very long lasting which is on par with most of the fragrances in this line. Love it! Love it so much that I want a full bottle of this even if it gives me a bit of rash on the skin. (I get this with many others using certain musk notes, does anyone else share the same issue?)
Fragrantica: When I first put this on I was blown away. It was exactly the summer scent I was looking for- fresh, green, and cool yet spicy and musky, unisex, lightly floral, and very interesting. I still love the scent, it's unlike anything I've ever smelled. For me though, the scent didn't last at all. I wore this to a wedding and had to reapply several times. Maybe it's just my skin.
Fragrantica: Lovely soft herbal scent. Perfect scent for a gentle grandfather who gardens, but right now he's hanging out with you indoors. I would wear this to the beach.
Fragrantica: Aromatic herbal spice. Sophisticated but laid back too. Opening is bright and fresh, almost harsh, the cracking of fresh coriander. Wish that lasted longer on my skin, but within 20 minutes I'm left with mellowed cool spice. Almost grandfatherly in how classic, soft, and friendly it feels. Linear from here on out, but a crowd pleaser. I get complements from men and women when I wear it.
Fragrantica: Now, this one surprised me. Full disclosure, I've never smelled coriander before and didn't have the slightest idea about its scent. Read some good reviews about it and tried it out at my local shop. When I tried it, I thought it was pleasant, enough to get a bottle of it for the upcoming summer. First use today, it's better than I remember. Very fresh, clean, and airy. You get the initial spiciness that is not at all offensive. For a second, you get some Cowboy Grass vibe that is much more lighter and less dirty. Once that calms down, the freshness continues with a slight floral and citrusy undertone; a mild, pleasant sourness like a lemon drop. Straight unisex and a casual banger. Tailormade for t-shirt and jeans. Really can't see anyone being offended by this as you wear it. Will fit best during spring, summer and early fall but I can see this as an all-year scent. EXCELLENT!
Fragrantica: One of the most beautiful green scents I’ve ever smelled. Had it in my wishlist for ages and finally got a perfume oil pocket size. You have it all: a bit of spiciness, a touch of sweetness and amazing juiciness from citruses. And of course endless joy from the green grassy notes.
Fragrantica: What a gem! D.S. & Durga's Coriander is an aromatic fresh spicy fragrance with a casual vibe while still holding its sparkling character. The perfect non-perfume fragrance for the wearer of their best white T-shirt & jeans. A year rounder for sure.
Fragrantica: I have had the pleasure (for the most part) of smelling most of the DS&Durga fragrances, and this one is without a doubt one of my favourites. My only issue with it is that it dries down to something quite masculine smelling on my skin. This is actually a common problem for me so maybe take that part of my review with a grain of salt. What I will say though, is that THIS is what I want men to smell like! It’s fresh, clean, and so inviting! And if you get really close to the skin there’s a warmth and a slight sweetness to it that I find utterly intoxicating. Honestly, I should just get over the fact that I find it a little too masculine on myself because I would certainly never get sick of smelling this.
