Fog is a visible mass of condensed water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere at or near the Earth’s surface. Walking on a foggy day feels peaceful, dreamlike and tranquil. The atmosphere is marked by dampened sounds, intimate scenery and a sense of slow, quiet isolation. The air can feel heavy or damp on the skin. Walking in the fog feels like being conscious in a dream. To create a note of fog, or rain or dew, perfumers play with your imagination using notes and stories. They use vetiver or patchouli which can smell like wet soil, modern musks that smell like droplets of water on old stone and even some unexpected combinations of naturals and synthetics to create cool, shady and mysterious formulas that make you think of rain, salty breezes, fog and mist.
You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler:
- Amouage Meander EDP – Meander explores the exhilarating feeling of happiness in a land of fog, lush green mountains and running streams. With top notes of olibanum oil, carrot heart, pink pepper CO2 and black pepper oil; middle notes of orris, rose absolute, cypriol heart and jonquille absolute; and base notes of olibanum resinoid, vetiver oil and sandalwood oil.
- Arcana Wildcraft Her Sea EDP - A blend of softest fog, rich, animalic ambergris, radiant salt crystals, clouds over the ocean, gentle musks and a hint of ruffled carnation petals. It is a soft yet animalic aquatic.
- Deconstructing Eden Second Skin Perfume – A limited edition fragrance featuring notes of cold skin, fog, combat boots, Cashmeran, metal accord, raindrops and wet stone.
- Hyde & Hollow Blackbird Perfume Oil - The road is swallowed by fog, silence stretching over the empty fields. Perched on a weathered fencepost, a lone blackbird watches—a shadow against the moonlit mist. The air around it hums with golden saffron, dark berries crushed under careful talons, and the resinous pull of amber. A whisper of tangerine and peach flickers through the gloom, fleeting as the bird itself. - Solstice Scents Upstairs Window EDP – Upstairs Window is described as: Warm delicately spiced pools of glowing amber combine with rivulets of pure golden beeswax and liquefied dragon's blood resin, wrapped in a sheer veil of fog. Created by Angela St. John, the gentle spice medley primarily features candied clove and very light traces of cinnamon which are well blended beneath the other notes. This fragrances is not vegan due to beeswax. With notes of glowing amber, dragon's blood, beeswax, spices and fog.
