Dior’s luxury fragrance line La Collection Privée has been reimagined for 2018, offering a new way for you to be dressed in Dior. Rebranded as Maison Christian Dior, it goes beyond a collection of fragrances to become a somewhat ritualistic concept; that of perfuming and embellishing spaces and moments in your life. “When I create perfumes I flout technical constraints, schedules, fashions and trends,” Demachy explains of his artistic process. The fragrances in this collection are formed in families of Orientals, Florals, Sensuals, Light Florals and Fruity Florals, non-specific to gender but without being labelled ‘unisex’.
Fragrantica - "Picture this: You took a bath in pool water and used heavy soap before entering a church and opening up a robot. You can smell the chlorine, soap, incense, cold metal, and gear grease from inside the robot. The day is overcast and the scene is mixed with both ancient history and future technology. Simple ingredients, yet the experience is a strange fever dream. Most people I let smell this perfume hate it, but it's fascinating to me and there's nothing else quite like it."

Fragrantica - "Don't compare this to New Look 1947—they're different fragrances and that creates unnecessary conflict. Once I viewed it independently, I loved its cool beauty. Simultaneously cool and warm with shocking aldehydes and strong amber base. Delicious incense adds interest. Testing on my hand with other fragrances, I kept noticing the amber. Once settled, there's Dior DNA underneath. Best in coldest weather for me - likely the amber. Original New Look 1947 performed beautifully in summer heat. My humid winters may affect experience and am curious about dry cold weather performance. Next-day burn off leaves skin and clothes smelling clean, fresh, and smooth."
