Dolce & Gabbana The Only One was introduced after The One. It is a floriental introduced in 2018, created by Violaine Collas, intended to "capture the essence of sophisticated and hypnotizing femininity." Violet contrasts with gourmand notes of coffee and vanilla. Notes of bergamot, violet, coffee, iris, patchouli and vanilla. This is an EDP, eau de parfum.
From Influenster - "If YSL Black Opium and Lancôme La Vie Est Belle had a love child, this would be it. I’d say it’s a mature sweet scent, but not really mature (like it’s definitely not grandma). Smells very warm and spicy, and slightly floral - you can definitely pick up the gourmand and caramel notes. If you like YSL Black Opium, you might like this one too (I’d say it’s a little spicier than Black Opium). The lasting power on this is incredible and I get SO many compliments when I wear it."
From Tea Scented Library - "At first, The Only One almost feels overwhelmingly sweet, but just almost. For the next 20-30 minutes, its keeps softening, becoming less candy-like and more powdery. It’s still a sweet fragrance from start to end, mind you. But were many high-calories gourmands end up becoming tiring, this multi-faceted composition feels as interesting as it is indulging, and balances its edible caramel, vanilla and coffee with more perfume-y powdery notes, and a bright sugary opening with a more delicate, softer drydown. Beautiful!"
From Basenotes - "It's sweet and will appeal to the mainstream pretty easily. That doesn't change that it smells AWESOME. Oof, I LOVE this. On me I got sweet creamy latte, vanilla, a little pear and a sweet violet base. I would never buy this based on the notes alone, but it somehow works for me.
