From the brand - “I fell in love with Dries’ silk dresses in his Quai Malaquais boutique. The texture was so fluid it merged with the skin, which gave me the idea for a silky, enveloping perfume, a mix of chestnut with sensual vanilla.”
Fragrantica - "In my opinion, this is a modern work of art and it does smell niche. When a person is wearing this you just *know* they’ve spent their money on a luxurious perfume.
It is so smooth that it feels silky but get this…it literally smells like silk. I have a memory as a kid of sneaking into my mom’s room, spraying her perfume and smelling her rose gold silk robe. That’s what it smells like; silk and pink roses that are dusted with high quality cacao.
It smells like a really beautiful and elegant person.
It wasn’t a love at first sniff for me. It took several wears to fully decode it but I knew instantly that I was in the presence of a special scent. One of the rare occasions, where a perfume truly deserves the hype."
Fragrantica - "This may be one of the most gorgeous scents I have ever encountered. It opens with tart berries and jammy rose, then the rose blooms and the cocoa comes dancing in. Finally, a floral sweetness dries down with a warm chestnut. Absolutely stunning."
Fragrantica - "Blackcurrant and bergamot are there but as some other reviewers said it really does come across like peaches, if those peaches were superripe and/or caramelized. Otherwise it’s pretty true to its description. A rose presence in this that is more clear and straightforward than the other interpretations of rose that I own so while this would fill a void for me, it might not for others. The chestnut struggles a bit but it came through on my skin. For something so immediately decadent, it ends up being wearable and pretty. It’s hard to tell what an atomizer would do differently but with the tester it lives pretty close to the skin … like a secret for yourself I guess!"
Fragrantica - "Perfect cozy Fall/ cold weather scent! Opens with a tart bergamot black current cocoa powder combo. The chestnut is light and the rose is in the background assisting the other notes, pulling them together. Gorgeous! Haven’t smelled anything like it. The tart and Cocoa combo intrigued me enough to buy a bottle and add her to my Fall collection for the upcoming season."
