Eric Buterbaugh Nick's Sunflower is one of the perfumes launched by a florist who caters to the stars - he is the resident florist for the Four Seasons LA. After years of working with flowers where much of the scent has been pruned out, Buterbaugh has launched a series of perfumes centered around specific flowers that smell great. He gave Firmenich free reign to create the floral series without regard to market research or cost. This is a line of very plush, luxe soliflores.
Eric Buterbaugh, working with California hat maker Nick Fouquet, created Buterbaugh Nick's Sunflower. If a sunflower did smell, what would it smell like? We'll never really know, but Nick's Sunflower has captured what a sunflower should smell like. This is a fragrance of spring and summer and sunny days.
Created by Ilian Ermenidis, Buterbaugh Nick's Sunflower has notes of linden flower, quince, lychee, narcisse, nectarine, orange blossom, tiare, jasmine, osmanthus, tuberose, muscenone (musk note) and ambrox.
Fragrantica: "It's a dewy fruity citrusy nectarine, with a musky linden/osmanthus/neroli adornment. There is a bouquet consisting of narcissus and tuberose.
Fresh, for Summer/Spring daytime wear. Mostly feminine."
perfumeposse: " it blooms with a sunshiney feel – white flowers underpinned with sweeter and more citrus notes that make it happy and joyous. There is a wee bit of a “fresh” smell in there. Normally, I’d be running for the hills, but it fits in there like it belongs and fades enough that I get back to the sunshine-drenched white flowers."
