Description

Akatsuki Melba is a fruity gourmet fragrance created by Camille Leguay that highlights the Akatsuki peach from Japan. It is a uniquely luscious fruit with juicy, sweet flesh tinted a delicate pink. From the Fukushima prefecture, it is distinguished by its perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. As soon as it's picked, it exhales a bewitching fragrance, combining fruity freshness and subtle floral notes. Its velvety, slightly translucent skin reveals a melting heart that evokes sunny days in Japanese orchards. The olfactory journey begins here, carried by the pure, gourmand essence of this exceptional peach. Born in the icy lands of Siberia, frosted raspberries captivate with their deep red color and crystalline texture. Their intense fragrance, both lively and sweet, evokes the purity of boreal forests under snow. On the palate, dazzling freshness mingles with a light acidity, awakening the senses with exquisite indulgence. Each berry contains the soul of Siberian winters, where nature preserves its treasures with a rare intensity. The olfactory journey continues here, carried by the icy, bewitching vivacity of this exceptional raspberry.

Born of Breton know-how, Guérande salted butter caramel captivates with its golden smoothness and aromatic richness. Its warm, gourmet fragrance blends the deep notes of cooked sugar with the finesse of butter and the hint of salt marshes. On the palate, it oscillates between melting sweetness and iodine bursts, revealing a perfect balance between sweet and salty. Each spoonful evokes the sea breezes and artisan traditions of the Atlantic coast. The olfactory journey concludes here, carried by the addictive elegance of this Breton treasure. Through this perfumed road trip, Akatsuki Melba becomes more than just a perfume, it is an olfactory adventure where each spray evokes a memory, each note captures an emotion. Uniting the fruity richness of Ataksuki peach, the sharpness of Siberian raspberry, and the authenticity of Guérande salted butter caramel, this fragrance embodies a perfect fusion of the exotic and the gourmet, the familiar and the unexpected.

Akatsuki Melba features a top note of osmanthus absoloute; middle notes of Bourgeons de Cassis absolu and Siberian icy raspberry jelly; and base notes of Guerande salted butter caramel coulis, Tahitian vanilla extrait CO2 and tonka absolue. It is an extrait de parfum.

FOMOWA AKATSUKI MELBA REVIEWS

Fragrantica: "This is simply great! I had the chance to smell it thanks to a fragrance reviewer who happens to be a great friend of mine and it is amazing. It is a gorgeous raspberry jam with a hint of peach, and a good amount of salted caramel, it’s creamy but not lactonic. Not overly sweet either. It lasts over 8 hours on my skin. Sillage is wide! Extremely nice, unique. Not synthetic at all. The quality is obvious! Raspberry and a creamy Tahitian vanilla are the perfect match as it dries down. It has a certain uniqueness to it that I love. Please try to go and sniff it."

Fragrantica: "Akatsuki Melba opens with a burst of peach and raspberry, and maybe some osmanthus. As it dries down the jelly joins in and becomes richer as time goes on. At this stage it’s a juicy raspberry/blackcurrant jelly scent. As it continues to dry down, the caramel appears, still with the jelly note in the background. I’m not really getting any vanilla or tonka, but that could be my sense of smell. It’s quite a long lasting fragrance. I also find this a bit similar to "Licorice | Federico Cantelli" , which I also liked but chose to sell. While this doesn’t have a liquorice note, the main note I get in both is a jelly blackcurrant scent. If you have one, you definitely don’t need the other. This wont be a full bottle buy for me, but it’s a fun and interesting scent I enjoy smelling. A good 7.5/10 for me. I’d say it’s the best scent from this house so far, and could probably be worn all year round."

Fragrantica: "This smells like candy floss (with some burnt sugar) and dehydrated strawberries that you can find in granola. Again very strange scent but you want to keep smelling it!"

Fragrantica: "Completely unexpected that I would time travel back to when I would play with Strawberry Shortcake scented dolls from my 80's childhood, but it's lovely."

Fragrantica: "One of my best blind buys of the year! Absolutely love this. It feels very soft feminine. I get raspberry jam with some peach and vanilla. Also a bit of a cabbage patch kid (the super soft vanilla scented doll rubber of 80s&90s). Probably 6-8 hour wear on skin, WAY longer on clothing. Not giant silliage but constantly get whiffs throughout my entire wear. This isn't a beast, isn't weak either but totally worth the $155 I paid for it. I'm wearing it today for Christmas Eve. Might wear it again tomorrow. I feel like this would be suitable anytime of year or day except maybe the high heat of summer. Really intrigued now with this brand. Definitely love at first sniff, highly recommend."
