Cologne Bigarade
I know it's a cologne and therefore light - but on me it is virtually never there. If you hold scent tight, it is not unpleasant and worth the try if you like the sound of the notes.
Frederic Malle Cologne Bigarade was released in 2001, created by Jean-Claude Ellena. It is a citrus aromatic blend with hay and woody undertones. Notes of Bitter orange, cardamom, pepper, rose hay, aldehydes and cedarwood.
From Fragrantica:
"I really appreciate the simplicity of Bigarade. Ellena is undeniably a savant and this again shows how something quite direct can be twisted and polished with gentle and exacting moves to transform it from an essential oil into essential must-have in your fragrance wardrobe."
"This is a perfect citrus."
"This is like a fresh shower in a hot summer day."
From Bois de Jasmin - "Frédéric Malle Cologne Bigarade traces the life cycle of an orange in reverse—at first, it reveals the aromatic brightness of ripe bitter orange, then it transforms into a pearly white orange blossom before finally melting into a whisper of green leaves and twigs."
