Beneath the Forest is the scent of the forest floor beneath the trees where the scant sunlight never reaches and few green plants grow. Mushroom and decay flourish in the ever-damp soil, surrounded by darkness; step carefully. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Reddit: So. This scent is the reason I wrote this review. I've tried lots of "dirt", decay, and mushroom scents and atmospherics with those notes - Foxcroft Intense & Runestone from Solstice Scents, St. Louise Cemetery #1 from Alkemia, Eagle Hill Cemetery from Pulp, Snow Witch: Agaricum from Arcana, BPAL Destroying Angel, Hexxenacht Mephistopheles, The Tomb from Deconstructing Eden, Stratus & Nimbostratus from Osmofolia, Funerie from Pineward. This one is the best. It smelled interesting in the bottle, but as soon as it hit my skin I was hit with the sense memory of climbing a misty, forested hill too steep for a trail on toes and fingers, driving my hands into the cold moss-encrusted earth searching for a root to hold on to, loose clumps of damp earth rolling down my sleeves. Almost the scent of opening a bag of potting soil, but colder and more foreboding. I usually don't take "wearability" into account, but I legit stopped for a moment, knowing I was going to keep the sample but unsure whether I'd want to wear it. The only thing that's awakened something similar is Believe from BPAL. Throw starts middling before fading to intimate (but that may or may not be a problem depending on how much you want other people to smell your dirt), middling longevity. This is a very linear scent that sticks with the damp earth vibe from start to finish.
