Guerlain Insolence is a floral fruity fragrance with top notes of violet, raspberry and red fruit pulp; middle notes of violet, rose and orange blossom; and base notes of iris, tonka bean, musk and sandalwood. It is an eau de parfum, edp, and was created by Maurice Roucel and Sylvaine Delacourte.
The EDP version of this fragrance is much stronger and much more intensely violet. A review from I Smell Therefore I Am, reads: "Somehow the EDP manages to be stunningly beautiful yet not too girly or innocent. Insolence EDP is violets in flashing neon lights. It’s violets on crack or steroids – it’s a 50 foot violet plant. It’s so aggressively violet-y that it refuses to be simply pretty. This is not a soft wallflower violet; this is an attention getting scent. The most delightful part for me is that while Insolence EDP is a sweet candied violet scent for sure, it’s still not too sweet, it’s entirely wearable."

From Bois de Jasmin - "While the EDP opens up on a similar hot raspberry and strawberry accord as the EDT, it is softer and warmer, lacking the pungent quality that I found in the EDT. The suave and rich accord of iris and violet forms the core of the composition, with the dark accent of orange blossom notes lending a surprising twist."
From Makeup Alley - "I prefer this over the EDT version. This came out after, and it is more intimate and smoother than it's sister. The notes are similar, but this has a irreverence to it. It is unapologetic. This is my favorite of current Guerlain offerings"
From Influenster - "I love this perfume so much - I have worn it for the last 10 years. The scent is light but memorable, and I live the candied violets note. It’s a very special scent, and does not smell the exact same on everyone."
