Guerlain Oud Nude is part of Guerlain's Shades of Oud series in the L'Art et la Matiere collection. Created by Delphine Jelk and launched fall of 2022. A softer and more plush and creamy version of oud, it has notes of oud, almond, vanilla, cedar, sandalwood, raspberry and rose.
From the brand - "Laid bare, oud reveals its softness. In opposition to its usual intense darkness, Delphine Jelk celebrates the brightness of oud with great finesse. Unveiled in a new light, the material softens upon contact with bright woody notes to express its most delicately sensual facets. 'If Oud Nude were a colour, it would be the nude shade attributed to Constantin Brâncuși.' According to Delphine Jelk, the scent of Oud Nude might evoke the sensually contoured sculptures of Constantin Brâncuși in light, nude tones. Pure lines, curves and contours that elevate the form… Much like how Brâncuși exalts rippling grains of wood, this fragrance unveils an abstract, minimalist, yet deeply sensual oud."
Reviews of Guerlain Oud Nude
Fragrantica - "Oh, this scent is fantastic! Lightest touch of oud to begin, and then just the most yummy, soft creamy deliciousness. Like if someone made a perfume of whipped cream. A tiny bit barely sweet, vanilla, and the warm reassurance of sandalwood."
Fragrantica - "Oud is there, but not in a skanky way at all. I get great performance. This is my favorite of the three, which is interesting because I tried them because of Cherry Oud and ended up liking it the least. Oud Kohl is also a nice scent (a little too soapy for me). I like Oud and like this as well."
Fragrantica - "I’m not a fan of Oud, never have been. However this is an absolutely lovely proposition for all those non-fans of Oud fragrances such as myself, because it doesn’t reek of Oud in an overdosed and unpleasant way. Quite the opposite: it’s unexpectedly soft, warm, floral, sweetly balsamic and very addictive."
