Kuya is Guy Fox’s first unisex fragrance and is designed to take you from anywhere in the world to a tropical, secret beach. Kuya means "Big Bro" in Filipino and is an homage to Guy Fox co-founder Liam's actual big brother and his family back home in the Philippines. Rich, perfectly balanced notes of sunburnt vanilla, Filipino coconut and surf wax create a tropical fragrance you'll reach for all year long. Kuya smells like an island vacation with unlimited PTO. Kuya is a cologne.
Fragrantica: “Kuya is a great representation of a not so tropical but tropical type of fragrance. The coconut notes are carrying the heavy weight here and it’s definitely creamy and not overpowering. One of my biggest gripes with a lot of "Tropical" Leaning Scents is that they become to sunscreen like synthetic. I Really like the Coconut and Slight Sweetness of Vanilla added on here because it really ties everything together to create a representation of how the Islands are. Once received, I wore it around 2pm and worked out a 6, and still smelled a light scent trail and skin scent after 8PM. Not a high projecting fragrance but still really wearable.”
Fragrantica: “This is such a good tropical coconut, without being too sunscreen-y. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness, making it a truly unisex fragrance. It’s a simple DNA, would be perfect on its own but would also be amazing for layering. You have to love coconut to want this. One of the best coconut forward frags I’ve ever tried.”
Guy Fox: “The scent is so good, I highly recommend it, Kuya lasts on the skin for over 12 hours from my personal experience wearing it. It has become one of my favorite scents to wear and is truly a premium experience. Please do yourself a favor and pick up Kuya you will not regret it.”
Guy Fox: “I’ve worn the same perfume for the past 15 years, but when I saw the advertisement for Kuya on Instagram—a unisex scent inspired by the Philippines with the aromas of Buko, burnt vanilla, and surf wax—I knew I had to have it. I still use my other main perfume for formal occasions, but this has become my daily wear as it assimilates beautifully here in the tropics of Florida.”
Guy Fox: “This is my 6th scent I've purchased from GUY FOX. To be honest, I thought I was sold by the tropic vibe that’s stated online and I thought I’d give it a try. Wondering why because I was already happy with my stable of scents from GUY FOX. Then, my wife and daughters smelled it on me. They made compliments and asked what I was wearing, stating it was the best scent by far. KUYA nails it with the Vanilla and Coconut, and not forgetting the addition of Surf Wax. I was so impressed I immediately bought the car freshners as well and am currently waiting for their arrival in the next few days. Thank you team, so appreciate the hard work in not only a quality product, but unique and quality company and people. So appreciated. Money well spent.”
Guy Fox: “Kuya absolutely surprised me. From the first spray, it has this warm, smooth, tropical character—creamy coconut and vanilla without becoming overly sweet or floral. It feels masculine, mature, and incredibly easy to wear. I’m a big fan of Guy Fox Tyler, but Kuya feels like Tyler grew up, slowed down, and spent some time on an island. It still has that clean, approachable quality, but there’s more warmth and depth to it. The dry-down is where it really shines for me; hours later, I could still smell that soft coconut-vanilla warmth on my skin, and I could even smell it the next morning. What makes Kuya even better is the meaning behind it and knowing that the release helps support families in the Philippines. As someone who appreciates the culture and the idea behind “Kuya,” that gives an already great fragrance a little more heart. This was a blind buy that absolutely paid off. Warm, masculine, tropical without smelling like sunscreen, and distinctive without trying too hard. I’m genuinely considering buying a backup bottle before it disappears. 9.5/10 — Kuya earned a permanent spot in my rotation.”
