Dreamland was originally a 19th century amusement park with ceremonial gardens. The most prominent memory of that park was the large wooden scenic railway-style roller coaster which once had over half a million people use it every year. To experience this location is to walk around this monumental disused ride, itself a victim of arson, with the scent of burnt wood and charred leather surrounding you and then find yourself at the back of the site where there were once the ornamental gardens. The fragrance of the burnt ride gives way to the Victorian roses that are still growing where they were originally planted and have seen the amusement park in its journey from popularity to demolition and finally now to a resurrection as the remaining burnt ride is restored. Dreamland is a unisex floral woody musk fragrance with top notes of damask rose and bergamot; middle notes of vetiver and patchouli; and base notes of rosemary and geranium. It is a parfum.

Fragrantica: The most natural smelling rose perfume I think I’ve come across, not too sweet, but too not sharp, kind of powdery. I like it a lot. It actually smells like real roses, not rose water or “jammy” rose that smells like a berry. I didn’t expect it would be appealing to others at all as it’s more natural smelling, but this has garnered a ton of compliments. It’s really nice, very much a unisex scent. Amazing quality stuff.
Fragrantica: This is a beautiful fragrance that opens very 'rose' and dries down to vetiver slowly and seamlessly. The Haeckels fragrances are very good quality, project well, and last a long time. The first time I wore this, I received a compliment right away, and then several more. I think this is very wearable and inoffensive.
Wonderlusting: To me Dreamland is in serious nuzzle inducing territory. Woody, worn leather with powdery rose fluttering by. It is not a ‘girly’ rose at all and though unisex (as all perfumes are!) this scent I think in a traditional store would be in the men’s section. If you are looking for a fresh garden rose scent, this probably won’t be for you. If you don’t mind a sexy rose with a few thorns, then it will.
