A collaboration with artist Bill Crisafi, Slut for October celebrates the mischievous side of fall with a decadent scent of smoldering leaves, bruised apples, and exquisite decay. This is autumn at its most indecent. With notes of Arkansas black apple, labdanum, myrrh, cedarwood, oakmoss, juniper smoke and sun-scorched hay. Slut for October is a perfume oil.

Fragrantica: “This scent needs to be applied and then not sniffed for about 5 minutes. Once it dries down on your skin it's lovely. I get a nice wet mossy earth with a warm baked apple and an enjoyable smoke that reminds me of cooking food... however. These are my thoughts on the opening notes. Opens, spoiled milk. Like I can't smell anything but the smell of sour milk, the way my fridge smells when something has gone bad in it. Middle: apple bacon sandwich.”
Fragrantica: “TEST STRIPS WILL LIE TO YOU and give 100% smoke; not how it wears on skin at all! A smoky opening fades quickly and becomes a background note, just giving the fragrance some body. The star is the spice - it’s almost like a dry cider mix. The hay note adds a bit of earthiness and a fermented quality. After a few hours you’re left with a very soft/subtle orchard apple scent. Really a fascinating and transformative experience, like many different olfactory aspects of fall bundled into one perfume. And that perfume just so happens to have a slutty toad on the bottle, which is a huge bonus.”
Fragrantica: “I smell every note, but the smoke, apple & myrrh are the most prominent to me. SOOOOO smoky, smells like a bonfire. Juicy, sweet, ripe red apples surrounded by scattered dried apple slices. Kindling a fire with whatever you find on the ground - sticks, pine cones, pine needles. Beautiful profile that is clearly not for everyone. I wonder if people were expecting something more sweet, more of a "traditional" autumn scent, although this perfume whips me right into moderate, cooling weather and golden sunsets. It reminds me of reuniting with old friends, sharing hugs and drinks huddled around a hearth. True unisex. Don't blind buy!!! EDIT: ok I've got it pinned down now, this smells like high-end, North Eastern hard cider (I didn't read ratsnest comment before editing but yeah glad it isn't just me) - along with all of the other things I mentioned before. And this apple is juicy and dark, drifting between bitter and sweet. I think the cider smell to me is almost 100% the hay, and I still love love love this comp.”
Fragrantica: “Smells like drinking a hard cider next to a campfire with someone who's drinking an old fashioned. There will be people who love this. I am intrigued by the smell but not sure I could stand to wear it all day. It's INCREDIBLY smoky with a strong hint of apple and whiskey.”
