Luxurious orange blossom chypre in the grand manner of French perfumery.
Hermes 24, Faubourg - Named for their address in Paris, Hermes 24, Faubourg eau de parfum is a rich amber floral that exudes elegance and sophistication. Notes of Bergamot, Orange, Peach, Hyacinth, Tiare flower, Orange flower, Jasmine, Orris, Sandal, Patchouli, Amber, Vanilla. This is in the Floral fragrance group with a check beside big white floral.
from nstperfume - "If I had only a few words, I'd describe 24, Faubourg as orange flower as seen through amber glass. Really, though, the fragrance is crammed full of warm flowers with a bare hint of spice, but with soapy orange flower at the forefront. Boosting this floral heat wave is a thick bed of sandalwood, amber, musk, and moss."
from basenotes - "What a gorgeous perfume! When I first tried it, I found it way too amber-y. But over time, I've gotten used to it, and now it just smells like flowers and pure class. This is an "old-money" perfume, and smells phenomenal."

I really love this. I don't love that the initial blast is both outdated smelling and too mature, but this settles down after 10-15 minutes into a very classy, very beautiful orange/vanilla/gardenia/sandalwood scent. I'm a fan. Use sparingly, this is a concentrated scent. I would say one spritz would suffice, maybe 2. Anymore and you'll be choking in it. This is a well rounded classic, and I just hope no one gives up on it based on that initial burst of top notes that really are a bit overwhelming and seem very 1980s. It gets much better after that.

I like this and am considering buying a bottle. Everyone around me that has sniffed it likes/loves it. Be careful though, a little goes a long way.
