Hermes Rouge EDT was created in 1984 as Parfum d'Hermes and reinterpreted in 2000 and named Rouge Hermes. This fragrance is a rich, gorgeous scent for either men or women. It has notes of notes of ylang ylang, rose, cedar, sandalwood, Bourbon vanilla, spices, resins, myrrh, and labdanum ciste. Rouge is in the Chypre Floral fragrance group. We have the current version of Rouge.
from perfumeposse - "How does Rouge Hermès make me feel? Rich, elegant and lavish. The first wet whiff is both sharp and butter smooth, and as that rush burns down the ylang and rose (now that I realise it’s rose) pair beautifully and there is a fruity hint too but I can’t name it. Sweet and spicy rose with vegetative, luscious ylang and powdery soft earthy iris are all so beautifully matched and blended in Rouge Hermès that, when you are not reviewing, create a cloud, a waft and a train of glamour."
from basenotes - "I've been sampling many rose fragrances lately, searching for the Holy Grail of rose scents. This looked like a "must-try" because it contains many of the notes I love (amber, cedar, spices) as well as the predominant rose note I wanted. The rose is sultry and dark; the iris and ylang ylang add dimension to the opening notes. Even at this early stage, I can detect the incense notes. After a while, the woody notes of sandalwood and cedar appear, with the resinous and rich note of amber adding depth. Heavenly! The dark rose accord and incense notes continue."
