Hermessence Osmanthe Yunnan The story about how this fragrance came to be leads to Beijing and the Imperial Palace. The osmanthus bushes were in bloom and that tiny flower was alive with a strong scent of apricot and freesia. Jean-Claude Ellena then imagined pairing that with Yunnan tea and Osmathe Yunnan was created. Tea, flowers and fruit. Osmanthe Yunnan is smooth and tart, with a lasting tea note that is perfect for occasions when you want an original perfume that is not heavy, but lasts. Osmanthe Yunnan is in the Floral Fruity fragrance group.
from basenotes - "I love osmanthus, and this is one of the best. It’s elegant and not too sweet, while still get the essence of the real flower.
Since osmanthus is an autumn flower, I always apply this in autumn, but recently I realized it projects better in warm weather. So this is going to be my late summer fragrance."
from nstperfume - "Osmanthe Yunnan opens with sharp, dry citrus... As it dries down, Osmanthe Yunnan veers off in another direction, starting with the lightly smoky scent of dried black tea leaves and gradually allowing more of the osmanthus to shine through. The whole stays very muted and soft and pale. It is summery without being bright, and fruity without much sweetness: rather than a juicy bite of ripe apricot, there is a more subdued aroma, something akin to the leathery skin of a dried apricot."

IMO, this is the best Osmanthus perfume that I have tried so far. Simply beautiful.
