Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs was released in 2012, the first release from this company in over half a century. It is an opulent and elegant bow to the orange blossom - the symbol of fertility, abundance and love..
Launched in 1775 by Jean-Francois Houbigant, Houbigant became one of the premier perfume companies through the early 1900s. Their first fragrance was Fougere Royale, a French perfume legend. After a long and perilous decline, Houbigant's perfumes landed downscale of what was once a luxury perfume company, and they held on tightly to the one fragrance that was still being sold in the upscale perfume market, Quelques Fleurs L'Original.
This radiant orange blossom fragrance marks their return to the luxury market. The orange blossom opens a little like Serge Lutens Fleur d'Orangeur, but it sparkles like the sun where Serge's composition broods a little in the corner. If you love orange blossom perfume, this is one you will want to try. Created by perfumer Jacques Flori, it is stunning and a complete pleasure to wear.
Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs has notes of orange blossom, Turkish rose, Egyptian jasmine, tuberose, Eau de Brouts (an exclusive Robertet ingredient) ylang-ylang, nutmeg, spices, cedar and musk.

Fragrantica - "This is my spring/summer go-to. First spray is a strong, fruity, sweet orange blossom, underscored by an earthy muskiness that comes off as French-girl sexy. It blooms in warm weather and doesn't cloy like other orange blossom scents, and it lasts and lasts on me, especially on my clothes, and I like to spray it in my hair so it wafts behind me as I walk by and say something poorly pronounced from an English-to-French travel dictionary.
Most importantly, it makes me smile, and that might be the best thing a fragrance can do."
Fragrantica - "When I was a young girl my grandfather's house had several orange trees planted beside the house, I loved to walk through the trees some with flowers others with fruit in diferent stages, and some spoiled fruit at the floor, that when stepped on give such a sweet fruit smell. Well, this perfume is all that, the flowers, and the fruit in all it's stages. It is simply wonderful."
