Imaginary Authors Slow Explosions was released in 2016, created by Josh Meyer.  Notes of saffron, rose, leather, apple, benzoin and cashmeran.

All of the Imaginary Authors have a story that accompanies them. Here is the story of Slow Explosions from the Imaginary Authors website:  "In 1980, Gwen K. Vroomen quit a monotonous job, went to the corner bar, and – on the bartender’s urging – threw a dart at a world map tacked on the wall. She had never heard of Goa but knew immediately she needed to go. Three months later she was celebrating Hindu New Year at a tea garden high in the hills of Kerala, fireworks exploding below. She wrote of that night: “I was resuscitated by color, redeemed by the vibrant unknown.” Her self-proclaimed “Journey out of darkness,” dotted with unforgettable stories of night markets, river floats, and harrowing moped rides, inspired a generation of young Americans eager to buck the drudgery of ordinary life.”

Imaginary Authors Slow Explosions is an eau de parfum, edp.

Imaginary Authors Slow Explosions Reviews

Fragrantica - "This one opens with a scent like bourbon whiskey. I think it's the green apple and vanilla playing tricks on me. I love that opening!  Soft rose and spicy saffron blending with a smooth leather, not animalic or dirty, are waiting behind the top notes. Gorgeous fragrance with some real lasting power!"

Fragrantica - "Even when Josh Meyer's fragrances for Imaginary Authors are not for me, I admire the originality of his nose. The heavy accords of leather and saffron are brightened in this by a nice sharp green apple scent and a softer rose, which make this fragrance seem original and intriguing, if not my thing."
