Imaginary Authors Yesterday Haze was released in 2014, created by Josh Meyer. Notes of fig, iris, whipped cream, tonka bean, woody notes, walnut and fruity notes.
All of the Imaginary Authors have a story that accompanies them. Here is the story of Imaginary Authors Yesterday Haze from the Imaginary Authors website: "Yesterday Haze,” the subtly sinister follow-up to Lenora Blumberg’s acclaimed debut “Violet Disguise,” tells the story of a farmer’s wife who, after maintaining a decades-long affair with a crop duster pilot, decides to come clean to her husband (who also happens to be her lover’s employer). 'The memory of him is a rifle in my mouth,' Blumberg wrote, 'and the scent of fig its trigger.' Set in California’s tranquil and dusty San Joaquin Valley, the elaborate tale unfolds like a dream, delicately shifting perceptions like the colors of a dimming dusk."
Imaginary Authors Yesterday Haze is an eau de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica - "The fig is fantastic, and though I'm not sure 'whipped cream' is a real scent (the perfumer Josh Meyer likes to slip imaginary scents into the lists to suggest the feel he was working towards), it's true that there is a wonderful creaminess to this perfume. The walnut and the woodiness are also very present, and the scents are very nicely balanced. This to me is an all-season fragrance, and it's really lovely. It doesn't project too strongly (so it would be good for the daytime), but it's absolutely evident, and sits nicely on the skin. It's a gourmand, but there's something sexy about it, as is true with all fig-heavy scents."
Fragrantica - "Beautiful. Sweet gourmand. Smells like dried fruits and whipped cream. And woody notes. FBW for me. Smells cozy and comfortable."
Fragrantica - "'Yesterday Haze' opens up with fruits and cream, with the nuttiness of the walnut being more noticeable at the top. As it dries down, I'm left with a slightly nutty, sweet, creamy scent that contains that familiar Imaginary Authors signature DNA. This grew on me a lot more after I tried it on skin, and really love it now! The combination of notes is quite unique."
