Description

Indult Tihota was created by Francis Kurkdjian in 2006  and is often cited to this day as the holy grail of vanilla perfumes. This is a heavily vanilla fragrance with some added musk, milk and sweetness, and it is simply gorgeous!!  Notes of tahitian vanilla, sugar cane, tonka bean, white musk, almond milk and amber

From the brand - "Unveil the mesmerizing beauty of Tihota, a fragrance that impeccably captures the essence of the highest grade natural vanilla. Revered as a treasured gem in the world of perfumery, Tihota enchants the senses with its unparalleled allure."

Basenotes - "I am giving Tihota 5 stars because this truly is one of the best vanilla scents out there. It's hard to find a quality 'just vanilla' scent (OK, it has musk in it too but it doesn't outshine the vanilla!)Composed by the highly talented Francis Kurkdjian, its notes are vanilla bean and musk. For such a simple fragrance of vanilla and musk there is some evolution to it- it goes on as light-ish vanilla which gradually warms up becoming more buttery, warm, rich and the musks just give it a touch of depth taking it out of the cake shop - so to speak . Attests to the quality. I think much thought was put into this creation though it seems simple enough. This stuff lasts and lasts in a subtle but rich, gourmand way."

Fragrantica - "I absolutely love this perfume -- it has become a staple for me and is such a warm, enveloping, gorgeous vanilla. This perfume in and of itself is not a very complex fragrance, it is very much vanilla forward. However, for that reason, it works extremely well for layering. I find it works well when layered with either/both green scents and woody/smoky scents, and can be very versatile across seasons for this reason. This is the perfume I turn to the most often, all year round."

Fragrantica - "If I could have only one vanilla,,,this is it."

Fragrantica - "This is it! This perfume is amazing. Perfect vanilla - vanilla ice cream, vanilla bean- all of it. It’s not too smoky, or spicy; it’s not too artificial. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and the reviews did not disappoint. If you like pure vanilla scents, this one’s for you. I love it! I sprayed this on my wrist and it lasted until I went to shower. It’s sweet but not intoxicating. It’s airy, it’s light, but it’s also strong in the sense that you get the strictly vanilla scents right away and it smells incredible. I just wish it were cheaper lol. This isn’t like bianco latte, it’s not exactly like delizia di marshmallow either; it’s pure vanilla, sweet, creamy, vanilla bean. It isn’t milk heavy either, nor is it woody."

Fragrantica - "A slightly more “year round” version of Fire At Will (or FAW is a seasonal version of this one) which has a more caramelized/browned quality. Either way very airy pure vanilla bean scent."

Fragrantica - "It was the most delicious, realistic, straightforward vanilla fragrance I've smelled to date. It starts off smelling like the highest quality vanilla extract you can find, but gets more creamy, fluffy, and airy as it settles (almost marshmallowy imo). It's sweet but not toothachingly so, which I think is due to the musk. While it's not the most unique fragrance, it's my fave in terms of scent and quality of the scents I find it somewhat similar to (which are Nemat Vanilla Musk (less sweet and more musky), Delizia di Marshmallow (a bit synthetic and more "toasted"), Outremer Vanilla (more sugary and synthetic), and Solinotes Vanille (more sugary in a burnt sugar kinda way and synthetic))."

Fragrantica - "This is one of the best vanilla fragrances of all time. It smells exactly like the vanilla extract you bake with, rich, yummy, and comforting, without being cloying. Creamy almond and warm tonka bean notes add to its softness, while the base of amber gives it depth and longevity. It is a pure vanilla that feels cozy and edible without any artificial sweetness."

Fragrantica - "fingers sticky from balsamic glaze. a melting vanilla ice cream in a pressed waffle cone. everything is warm syrup and warm skin. childlike experiences in a taller body. there are things you wash off that cling to you."
