New York City is arguably the icon of metropolitan dynamism. Always one step ahead. Always effortlessly cool. There are no molds to settle into because—with the city’s rapid flux—there simply isn’t time. Tompkins is a fragrance celebrating NYC’s East Village and its historic Tompkins Square Park—both renowned as beacons upholding the city’s unconventional spirit. Embodying the park’s loaded reputation—a haven for hobos, punks, junkies, poets, painters, skaters—Tompkins is at once full of animosity and revolt while keeping composed and collected.
Tompkins features top notes of Ambroxan and geranium; middle notes of pimento, concrete and burnt rubber; and base notes of cypriol, musk and patchouli. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Kismet Olfactive: “I sampled this scent a year ago and basically longed to get a full size bottle since then. It starts off with a burst that makes me think of a dry black pepper and dries down into a warm musk that isn't overpowering and has a very subtle sweetness. It's a totally gorgeous and different scent; every friend who I've shown it to is like whoa, I haven't really smelled something like that, really interesting, and I love the size of the bottle which makes it a bit more affordable as far as full sized bottles go. Thank you Kismet team I love your work!”
Kismet Olfactive: “This was the surprise winner. It absolutely smells like all the best parts of the city! I am IN LOVE.”
Kismet Olfactive: “I've been a devotee of Kismet for years, and Wedding in Oaxaca has been my one and only signature scent. But with Tompkins... I think I may have found another. Tompkins is so good. Musky and the perfect blend of masculine and feminine. For this New Yorker who just moved out of the city, it takes me back instantly.”
