Light and airy but still completely gourmand, Delizia di Marshmallow will bring you back to the excitement of enjoying a rice krispie treat after school. With all the ooey gooeyness you can imagine, perfumer Terri Bozzo has created a fun vanilla scent with notes of marshmallow, vanilla and sugar. Delizia de Marshmallow is an eau de parfum, edp.
Kyse Perfumes is a small batch indie perfumer.
Fragrantica: If you love marshmallows then you have to add this to your collection. It reminds me of marshmallows that have been heated or slightly toasted but not burnt. It’s not powdery like straight out of the bag marshmallows but it’s also not charred enough to make a s’more marshmallow. The longevity for this one is top notch. spray it on before work and still smell it at the end of the day when changing into my pajamas. This fragrance doesn’t scream but anyone within an arm’s reach will smell it. This one is also great for layering with scents that you wish were a tad bit sweeter. This one will definitely stay in my collection.
Fragrantica: This smells a bit more like a roasted marshmallow than a fresh one out of the bag. It's very rich and warm. I don't find it very powdery either. I don't like how linear and simple it is, but I'm sure it's good for layering. It is very strong as well if you're into high projecting scents.
Fragrantica: Lightly toasted marshmallowy sugar rush with the barest hint of vanilla. This dries down to a beautiful wafting, ice cream shop goodness that makes me feel so delicious. DdM is indeed a must-have for anyone who enjoys marshmallow notes. However, it's not quite as dry and powdery as I hoped-- the sweetness is sticky and a bit caramelized. You can be assured this is nowhere near the same kind of playdoh-esque marshmallow note that shows up in a lot of indie vendor waxes/candles/body care products. This is superior, truer. It's best to apply by holding the bottle a little further away from the skin, as a diffuse application allows the fragrance to form a delicious cloud of scent that is apparent at all the right times without becoming distractingly present. This layers excellently with a range of other fragrances. Lavender, rose, violet, dark incense, woody, and resinous notes are particularly fun to combine with this. Another win for Kyse!
Fragrantica: Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I am a marshmallow fiend, and I’ve tried so many fragrances with a marshmallow note in it, only to perpetually be let down by a lack of intensity. This is the sweetest, warmest scent, perfectly on the cusp between a gooey, melting marshmallow, and fresh out of the bag. Obviously it is very vanilla heavy and linear, but without a trace of plastic, nor any other grounding note like woods or spice. I’m obsessed.
Fragrantica: It's about time I share how much I love this.. My experience of Delizia di Marshmallow has been pure unadulterated fun! Pure marshmallow. For me there is no root beer, no headache inducing over-the-top sweetness. It has become my signature! It wafts up my mask through the day when sprayed on my shirt, and lasts the entire shift (I am running around on my feet). My coworkers really enjoy it and mention they smell toasted marshmallows, and have asked me for a spritz! It has been really fun, easily the safest blind buy. Enjoy! EDIT: This has grown on me from love to a LOVE. I get comments "who smells like sugar cookies, bakery, waffle cones, cake" etc. on the daily. I've been sampling pretty much all the high-rated vanillas from LuckyScent, silently comparing them all to Delizia di Marshmallow, and I keep coming back. This has the most pronounced vanilla of any vanilla I've tried.
