L'Artisan Passage d'Enfer was introduced in late 1991, created by Olivia Giacobetti. Passage d'Enfer means "Passage to Hell" and is named after the street that the first L'Artisan boutique was located.
A beautiful combination of lily and incense that creates a beautiful fragrance that is reminiscent of a dark gothic church with a spray of lilies at the altar. A pure and hypnotic blend, that carries you off to seventh heaven. My personal favorite from the whole line. The extreme version is more, less subtle, but not over the top. Notes of red lily, jasmine, incense, sandalwood and vanilla absolute.

From Makeup Alley - "t smells of incense in a very realistic way. Maybe for some people too much realistic. It's dark, mysterious- person who caries it can't be just ordinary. In my opinion it's a head turner- even I would turn my head and try to track down who used this stuff.

On me Passage is pretty quiet. It opens damp like a stone building, but dries down quickly to a slightly spicy, slightly resiny trace. The lily is there, but subdued--very much the way I prefer. There's a tiny back note of smoke and incense, but what I get most is powdered ginger. Luckily I love that smell, so am happy with the scent. Stays very close to the body no matter how much I wear. Very pretty but not quite as warm as hoped.

Soapy, green, tart, peppery, semi-sweet incense. This will dry to a clean laundry musk. It smells good, but it's nothing original.
